We Are 9 Notre Dame Divestment Movement Petition Drop

The We Are 9 movement gathered at the steps of the main building to deliver a package of over 1,100 signatures on the petition for Divestment from fossil fuels to Father Jenkin's office. The group stood in silence for 9 minutes inside the executive office out of reverence for those affected by Climate Change. The group ended the 9 minutes of silence with a prayer. Inlcuded in the package that was delivered at the time of the event was a letter to Father Jenkins signed by We Are 9 leaders Garrett Blad and Katie Otterbeck. The letter requested a meeting with the President to discuss the terms of the petition and Divestment.
